OH MY GOSH.....
Check out this clip from Animal Planet! It was filmed here on St. Kitts at Turtle Beach (where Wilbur the pig lives), a beach that we often visit. How come we've never seen any of this happen?

Kari's visit
Kari flew down to St. Kitts last week, and was able to spend 10 days with us. She was more than happy to leave the cold cold weather of Minneapolis, and join us in the sun. We felt bad, since we had to go to school/work most of the days during the week, but we still got some fun in, and Kari got a great tan by laying by the pool each day until we got home.
We ate a lot of great dinners (I think Kari got to visit most of the restaurants here!)
Bobsy's
Monkey Bar
Ciao
She played soccer on Cory's team on Sunday
We visited Turtle Beach
(and Wilbur!)
(and some monkeys drinking rum punch)
We took the ferry over to Nevis
We went snorkeling
We went to Brimstone Hill Fortress
And we cooled off in the pool!

My New Camera Lens
For Christmas, I received a new lens for my digital Canon camera....a fisheye lens. I have always wanted one of these; they allow you to not only take really close-up pictures, but they also can make the horizon look rounded (a really cool effect). So as soon as I got it on my camera, the fun began. Check out the results:
Here are some examples of the rounded horizon:

Work
As the new Campus Living Residences get closer to opening, we have been working on our new website to go along with them. By working on the website, I mean giving stuff to someone in the IT department to actually put it online. Anyway, we wrote bios about ourselves, then took pictures of each other to go along with the bios. Here are a couple group pictures:
Guess Which Lame Celebrity Visited St. Kitts?
During orientation week, we had to hang out at the airport and pick up new students as they arrived. Well, while we were waiting for the next flight to arrive, a bunch of really expensive Louis Vuitton baggage was rolled from the customs area and out to where we were standing. And who comes sauntering out behind it? Freakin' Dr. Phil. Why can't a cool celebrity show up here...why does it have to be HIM? Anyway, he came here with his wife (who sometimes guest hosts with him on his show), his two sons, and his older son's wife (Erica, who is one of the Dahm triplets). Don't know who the Dahm triplets are? Click HERE. (Here is a hint...they were in Playboy. And don't ask me which one is her, I have no idea)
Below is the picture of Dr. Phil that one of the new students took. (I, for once, actually didn't have my camera with me). Sorry, no photos of Erica guys. :-)

Back To School
On the last night before school started again, everyone went out to Ziggy's, a beach bar that has become quite popular with the Ross students ever since it came under new ownership. The new owners are from Canada, and they renovated the entire place, making it 10 times nicer than it was before. It is also where our Friday afternoon volleyball games are now being played, since the old beach was bought out by the government. Here are some shots from that night:
A good time was had by all.
