Animals/Arachnids/Insects on Campus

One night last semester, Cory and I stopped by Ross on our way home from dinner to visit the ATM on campus. We heard a loud meowing, and found a cute cat hanging out near the ATM/bookstore area. It acted very friendly, and was rubbing its head on everything, like it wanted attention or to be pet. But every time we tried to get close to pet it, it would get scared and back away.

Just last week before school started up again, I was walking through campus late in the afternoon and heard a similar meow. I looked up in the brush on a nearby hill, and sure enough, there was the same cat. I had my camera with me this time, and I took a few pictures....but it still wouldn't let me get close enough to pet it!

Then there is the interesting spider that lives near one of our conference rooms. It lives in a potted plant, and always has a huge web spun around the plant. This picture makes it look somewhat small, but it is actually a good size!

Lastly, the other day at the Campus Living Residences site, I was walking around to check one of the rooms before students moved in, and I found this giant moth on the wall outside. It was so pretty, I had to go back to my room and get my camera!
